Bob Eaton

Prior to forming Roberts Hospitality, Bob Eaton operated as Eaton Hotel Investments, having earlier headed Colliers International Hotels, based in San Francisco for over 20 years. As Executive Managing Director, he was responsible for all hotel and resort property transactions in the United States, with an emphasis on California and the southwestern United States. Prior to taking the leadership role at Colliers, Mr. Eaton spent Fifteen years in a variety of roles gaining Marketing, Finance, and Development expertise in the Lodging and Real Estate industries. He has worked on behalf of hotel companies, private owners, developers and others.

Highlights of Mr. Eaton’s specialized experience include over twenty years of marketing hotel investment opportunities with Colliers resulting in over $2 Billion in hotel transactions; ten years of consulting with Laventhol & Horwath in Los Angeles and San Francisco; development and entitlement of multiple Bay Area hotel sites; sales and marketing on behalf of the Hyatt Regency San Francisco.

Mr. Eaton is a graduate of the School of Hotel Administration at Washington State University and holds a California Real Estate Broker license. He served on the advisory board of the School of Hospitality Management at the University of San Francisco, and was a member of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants. He is currently on the Advisory Board of the Experience Industry Management program at Cal Poly University in San Luis Obispo. He is also the Hotel Editor for California Buildings Magazine.

Bob Kaplan

Bob Kaplan is one of the most experienced and prolific hospitality brokers in the US, specializing exclusively on hotel sales and development in Southern California since 1984. Bob’s extensive industry relationships and successful transaction track record, both as a broker and principal, are highlighted below and underscore his ability to provide brokerage and advisory service to the very specialized and unique hospitality industry that combines the complexities of an operating business with commercial real estate.

Prior to forming Roberts Hospitality in 2019, Bob had been a Senior Vice President at CBRE Hotels based in Newport Beach, CA, since 2011. Prior to joining the CBRE hotel specialty platform, Bob was a Senior Managing Director at Colliers/PKF Capital, preceded by serving as President of RMK Hospitality Advisors. Prior to RMK, Bob spent six years as a Vice President of Real Estate at Newport Beach-based Tarsadia Hotels where Bob handled all hotel acquisitions and dispositions for one of the top family-office hotel owner/operators on the west coast. Prior to his stint at Tarsadia, Bob was an independent hospitality broker with John Burnham & Co. in San Diego.

Bob is a graduate of UCLA and has been licensed to sell real estate in California since 1980. Bob is a native Californian and currently resides in Dana Point.
